Halcyon Builds was founded by architects April Clark and Ed Richardson, the team behind Clark Richardson Architects, recognized by Forbes as one of the 200 Best Residential Architects in the U.S. With more than two decades of experience designing award-winning homes across Austin and Central Texas, they launched Halcyon Builds to deliver a seamless design-build experience for their clients.

April and Ed first began collaborating during their graduate studies at Yale University, where they built their first residential project together almost 25 years ago. Since then, their work has been defined by a commitment to thoughtful design, technical precision, and client-centered service.

Halcyon Builds represents the next evolution of their practice — a custom residential contractor in Austin dedicated to carrying architectural vision through to construction. Their first project under the Halcyon name is the ground-up construction of a client’s custom home originally designed at Clark Richardson Architects, ensuring that every design detail is executed with integrity and lasting quality.
